Challenge
Mizuki needed to feel genuinely Japanese and premium without falling back on the visual cliches. It had to appeal to a discerning Amsterdam dining audience and communicate the intimacy and seasonal philosophy of omakase.

Solution
Built a restrained, elegant brand identity and full website, leading with typography, photography direction and considered whitespace to communicate quality and calm. My own trip to Japan highly inspired the colour palette; the room I stayed in is pictured below. I designed every page and art-directed a developer to execute the build, making sure the final site matched the design intent throughout. The site handles reservations, communicates the two-seating format and introduces the restaurant's philosophy in its own voice.
Impact
Live at launch with full booking integration, a seasonal menu structure and a visual identity that positions Mizuki as a serious fine dining destination. Self-initiated concept project.
