Challenge
Booking.com had enormous amounts of user travel data but no engaging way to surface it. The goal was to turn raw statistics into something emotionally resonant, visually compelling and shareable — conceived, designed and prototyped within days as part of an internal hackathon.



Solution
I pioneered the concept and led the creative direction for Year in Travel, a personalised travel statistics experience inspired by Spotify Wrapped. I designed the visual experience and narrative flow, translating individual user data into shareable story-format slides that felt native to how people already consume content. Working closely with a development team, I brought the prototype to life within the hackathon window (3 days).
Impact
Won first place at Booking.com's internal hackathon in 2022. The concept was adopted as a recurring flagship campaign and has since become one of the most recognised annual brand moments in Booking.com's marketing calendar, reaching millions of users worldwide.
